Regardless of whether you are new to marketing anything on the internet or not, in order to succeed, how you choose to present your product or service will determine your success. In this article, I will briefly share just a few thoughts on the internet marketing of income-producing products and services in which I have personal experience, the home based business industry.
When you study the successful internet marketers, those who are really successful, copy those who have and are earning millions of dollars. These marketers all have different methods, depending upon the areas in which their niche markets are. So let us take a look at a couple of different categories.
What are they? We will consider what I call the pure Information Providers, those who sell electronic downloadable information products. These most often are software programs or e-books. This way of promotion is very straightforward and is not complicated for those people who are creative, and are themselves technologically-savvy, or hire experts who are. Their downloadable products are ordered by the consumer, either through financial facilitators like Clickbank or PayPal, and delivered very quickly to their computer. The marketer then receives their payment from the facilitator into their bank account, generally within a few days.
Marketers of these downloadable information products most often have two main methods of promotion. They market their own Sales Letter/Website in paid advertising, pay-per-click, in Google Adwords, Yahoo, etc, and also through the Affiliate programs they’ve created where some hundreds or even thousands of Affiliates promote products on their behalf. The latter is the most common system that the millionaires use, because it expands their marketing exponentially, and so creates massive income for themselves, and in many cases for their Affiliates as well.
Now let us take a look at another online marketing arena that is responsible for millions and millions in expenses and income, which is Network Marketing, including Multi Level Marketing, MLM, but not limited to that industry. These areas are undergoing a massive explosion and have been doing so for the last few years, as millions of people throughout the world just want some extra income or want to be able to earn a full-time income in their own internet business working at home.
This section of the online marketing industry uses a vast range of advertising ways to market the business opportunity programs provided by many thousands of different companies globally. And their marketing methods are normally determined by their budget, how much they have to spend. Paid advertising, pay-per-click, ppc, is always the most effective when done creatively and in the correct way, but as this industry is so highly competitive, it is the most expensive form you can use.
In most cases, in my experience, ppc advertising is dominated by those Big Players, who have mega-bucks to spend on advertising, with the result that they usually dominate and enjoy online business success, while those whose budget is minimal generally lose money and have no success, and in at least 90% of cases, lose their shirt!
So for those online marketers whose budget is limited, or non-existent, the option of free-marketing using Search Engine Optimisation and Social Media, such as Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, etc, can be a very successful and lucrative way to get their message out to the public. These include writing articles for distribution within E-zines, electronic magazines, issuing worthwhile Press Releases, creating a personal web-log, or blog, and are some of the vehicles that will help the marketer become known and build relationships that eventually lead to personal freedom and financial success. However, this system of internet marketing does take time, generally months, before you can achieve worthwhile results. But it does work and is very worthwhile for those who persist!
OK. All that I have mentioned above are an integral part of the most critical ingredient of internet marketing, which Is marketing itself. All businesses on earth need to be effectively marketed so that their goods and services are heard of, ordered and bought. So marketing Is the number one factor that has to be done efficiently, or your business will go down the gurgler.
And lastly, there is one more vital component for your online business success. You must build a list of potential customers and or business partners, because without that list, that painful business death is inevitable. The downloadable information product online marketers mentioned above are, in my opinion, the most successful list-builders on the web. They have it down to a tee, and you could do your internet marketing business and yourself a huge favour by studying the most successful of these, and copying and adapting their methods for your own use and success.
