Finding a Niche to Target with Information Products

Friday, June 13th, 2008
by Carl Pruitt

Before beginning to sell information products online, make sure that you are targeting a niche that will be profitable in the short-term as well as in the future. Your niche is simply a different way of saying your target audience.

You will discover that some niches are much more profitable than others. You will have to examine your audience to make they are willing AND able to spend money in order to solve their problems.

For example, golfers have proven they have deep pockets since playing golf is a very expensive past time. Golfers are typically rabid fans of their game and would do anything to improve their score or beat their competitors.

On the other side, a target market of single moms on a budget may not be willing to let go of $67 for your eBook on how to get organized. Sometimes, though, it depends on which of their problems you are trying to solve. They would like to get organized, but they need more money. Targeting this exact same niche of single moms, you might find that many are willing to pay $47 for your eBook showing them how to make more money working from home.

One good place to start is with online groups and forums. You can go to iVillage or Yahoo, Google groups, or Boardtracker and see what kind of groups garner the most posts. Men’s groups such as AskMen might give you insight into what kind of information products this portion of the population might need that help you generate a handsome profit.

You aren’t just looking for any broad group of people to cater to. You need to find those groups who have a lot of problems and are looking for easy solutions. In the beginning, you may want to build a series of products that all focus on one niche. This allows you to benefit from your own increased knowledge, as well as potential repeat customers.

Sometimes, you’ll find one large niche and then realize you need to build your information product line around a more targeted, narrow niche of people. For instance, parents in general have many problems you could address, such as raising smart kids, dealing with discipline, and saving money.

But you can then narrow that niche to moms or dads and dig deeper by focusing on parents of multiples or parents raising kids with physical ailments. Just remember that an information product is not really a product at all – it’s a solution, so it needs to be marketed as something that will improve lives

by James Comer

Flixya 2.0 is a relaunch of a very popular social networking, online video sharing, blogging, photo hosting and blogging community. This version is bigger and better. Flixya’s motto is simply “share everything”, right down to the revenue which they give back 100% of to you. (You do need to sign up for your own account for the revenue sharing).

According to Flixya, (paraphrasing) they are the only online social network that pays you 100% ad revenue and their easy to use publishing and one-click media distribution tools, drive traffic to your videos, blogs and photos and enable you to earn residual income from each piece of content that you contribute.

Does Flixya Cost Me Anything To Use?

Nothing at all, it’s free.

Revenue Sharing, What’s That?

At Flixya, the users are allowed to keep 100% of the ad revenue generated by the Adsense(tm) ads that are placed on the pages with their photos, blog, and videos on them. Flixya’s program is powered by Google Adsense(tm) and does require you to sign up for during registration, or in the ad settings page visible when the user is logged in.

How Do I Collect This Ad Revenue?

Simple, You are paid whenever someone visiting your pages clicks on one of Google’s Adsense(tm) advertisements.

How Do I Share Videos?

Flixya encourages you to share or upload your videos from other popular online video sharing sites. These include Daily Motion, Google Video, YouTube, Revver, as well as Livevideo, Bolt, and MetaCafe. I’m sure there will be more very soon. Flixya has just released a highly addictive addon for FireFox called “Flixya Video Publisher 2.0″. You can also vote on videos you like or don’t like by voting up or down. Popular photos and videos will appear on the homepage.

What About Blogging?

Yes, you can create your own blog. A blog is short for “weblog”. A Blog is a type of online diary or chronological listing of what you are thinking. These are usually maintained daily by you and reflect your own personality. You are encouraged to create your own blog(s) and you can promote yourself and/or add other content. You get to collect 100% of the money that is derived from the content surrounding your blogs, as well.

Start Your Own Money Making Business as an eBay Affiliate

Friday, June 13th, 2008
by Will Thompson

So just what exactly is an eBay affiliate program you may be asking? Well, actually it’s fairly simple. If you send anyone to eBay from your website or link, and they sign up or buy anything, you make commissions.

Ebay provides a somewhat brief tutorial and great tools devoted to helping you set up your links and/or RSS feeds to design into your website. If you become a member of the most innovative and successful affiliate program on the Web and drive your traffic to eBay, you will earn 50% to 75% commission on eBay’s revenue from every sale made from that customer and $25 to $35 commissions per each new active member that signs up.

Your profit from these sales should not be misinterpreted as a percentage of the total sale of the item. You will make a percentage of only the profit eBay makes from the sale. For example, let imagine that someone clicks on a link from your website, goes to eBay, signs up as a new member, and makes a bid on something that is $100. They end up winning with that bid, and then eBay will make, let’s guess $10 from that sale. When eBay makes $10, you will make 50% to 75% of that amount as your commission. This percentage is based on how many sales you make a month as an eBay affiliate.

So presumably, you would make around $32.50 total as a commission…$25 from the new member signing up with eBay, plus an estimated $7.50 commission from the sale (remember these are JUST estimated figures for example purposes only.) This is certainly not a bad amount considering you have no inventory, no drop-shipping or shipping, and you don’t have to provide any service to customers for your eBay business. You are making money by NOT selling products on eBay, just letting others do the hard work. It’s so simple it doesn’t even really seem to be fair does it?

How do you increase your sales/earnings? Simple, this is what eBay suggests: Get more traffic to your website. To accomplish this, paid search traffic might be an option that you consider, however natural search engine traffic resulting from optimization can be a free way to do this.

For better optimization, DO these things: 1. Tons of unique content, the more the better 2. Include related keywords that you are targeting multiple times on individual pages 3. Update your content on a regular basis. Regular users and search engine crawlers both love this 4. Do not let your URL’s or file names get too lengthy, keep them short and relevant 5. Title tags and page titles are important. Use 6 to 10 keywords to be found within the pages that are relevant 6. Rather than “Click here now!”, use phrases such as “Find it on eBay now!” 7. Use error pages effectively to help out users that might get lost 8. Manually submit to the major search engines to make sure they even know your are in existence 9. Get one-way and exchange links. One-ways are much more powerful 10. Never stop watching and analyzing the competition to help your marketing and direction Always AVOID the following: 1. The use of frames in your website. They are not liked by search engines and they confuse those using your website 2. Never use hidden or text that is not visible. Certain way to make the search engines avoid your site for life 3. Stay away from over-use of search navigation boxes and/or drop down menus. Crawlers can not follow these, and will hurt your rankings.

Making money as an eBay affiliate takes very little effort. Aside from actually having a website, all you need to do is send traffic to eBay from your niche site. This can be done by more advanced marketers by building their own websites and inserting the RSS code from eBay’s fees from their editor kit tool. Or if you are a less experienced internet entrepreneur, or you just want to save time, you can find a program that will do all the hard work for you that is already optimized ready to go with code built in.

You will most likely see awesome results in a very short time frame. This is because you will have a website with constantly changing and updating unique content, that search engines are begging for, if you have done things correctly. You will be guiding people to products that are already proven converting to a website that is one of the most successful in the world.

How to Create Automated, Passive Income

Friday, June 13th, 2008
by Troy Smith

Do you struggle in the day, working so many hours and not seeing the results you desire? Try working smarter, and see the results you want without doing much work at all. As long as you are in the work field, there is always going to be a cap on how much money you can make and the rate at which you can elevate in whatever industry you are working in.

The solution to this problem is the idea of a passive income. Passive income is the money-making principle that separates your time from your work. Once you set up a stream of passive income, it is on autopilot and you will have the opportunity to make money while working on other interesting projects.

No matter what position you may be in at the moment, the sooner you commence your conquest to retain passive income, the more quickly financial burdens will be lifted off your shoulder. There are a few important strategies that will assist you in attaining this goal.

One way to create a passive income is the idea of residual income. This is a monthly income from something that you put time into investing only once. You can establish a residual income by selling unique, electronic products online to a stream of customers. This method is entirely automated by allowing digital delivery and payment.

A way to establish this residual income is through e-books and PayPal. You can even purchase the resell rights to pre-existing e-books and simply buy the rights from there. However, this is not the best and most efficient way to have a passive income. You need to apply leverage to have this automated income perform at its best.

Having a labor supply to establish additional streams of income is applying the idea of leverage. Using leverage, you can make money off of other people’s labor, instead of your own. Although you may need to invest the money, and it may not sound like residual income, it is very powerful. You can double or triple your profits by correctly applying leverage.

Active leveraged income, on the other hand, does involve your immediate contribution. Despite this, even more money can be earned by means of getting more people drawn in. It also mostly only includes a single occurring event. Even though you have to take part in the creation of an active leverage income, the prospects of making money are greatly increased in comparison to if one were simply paying you an hourly wager.

Having financial freedom seems to be harder than ever, but with knowledgeable experts willing to assist, it is also easy. There are a lot of make money online programs out there, so be sure to get with one that has established partners and ways to grow within the company. By correctly establishing different streams of passive income, you can create financial freedom and have a happy, successful life.

Global Resorts Network vs EDC Gold, Passport to Wealth

Global Resorts Network vs EDC Gold, Passport to Wealth, Carbon Copy Pro

I have now been a GRN rep for a year and a half. In my first year I earned well over 6 figures and continue to make 30k a month online. This company has changed my life. I used to promote companies like EDC Gold, Passport to Wealth, Carbon Copy Pro, and programs that did not have real products.

Sure they claimed they had a product and they gave you access to a collection of outdated software and e-books that can be had anywhere on the internet for free. In fact 80% of these companies all use the exact same collection.

The reason most people don’t have a problem with this is because plain and simple the sales are being made to people who are only looking at the company as a way to make money and not on a product level.

What most people don’t realize if you product stinks you are reducing your market. You can only market to business builders. There are a lot of people looking to build a business but there are tons of people looking to sell there business as well. So why not sell something with a real product, which appeals to the masses.

This and many other reasons is why I left EDC Gold and moved to Global Resorts Network. I have never looked back and have been very successful and I feel good about the product I am promoting.

I have sold tons of memberships to people on a product only level. In all my time with EDC I never found one person that was excited to buy $1,000 worth of crappy software. With GRN our members save thousands on every vacation they take for the rest of their lives. So just using the product will allow a person to recoup their investment in just a couple of trips.

I have sold memberships to people who own $20k and $30k timeshares, that are amazed at what our members have access to for the measly $3k. Most are trying to sell their timeshares and are finding they aren’t worth the paper the deed is printed on.

The bottom line is EDC Gold, Passport to Wealth, Carbon Copy Pro, ETC just don’t have the extreme vale that Global Resorts Network has. Nor do they have as large of a market.

I personally and many other have said GRN is the best business opportunity out, there is no equal or comparable product and comp plan out there.
